April Wardrobe Wishlist

Spring is in full swing and summer is just around the corner! At this time of the year I always find myself lusting over the latest trends and dreaming of the perfect spring/summer wardrobe. I would love to own all of the items I've featured above. The two crop tops would be great for the warmer months. I also love the vintage-inspired paisley blue shorts and think they would look amazing paired with some nice heels. The standout for me has to be the white leather ASOS heeled sandals; I'm loving this trend at the moment!

Do you like any of the items above? What's on your spring/summer wardrobe wishlist?

Vera Wang Princess | Review

Vera Wang Princess - Available from Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams

Vera Wang Princess is definitely one of my favourite perfumes at the moment! It has quickly become my go-to fragrance for everyday wear. It comes in a cute, eye-catching heart-shaped bottle that really does look lovely on the dressing table. The bottle design reflects its scent; Princess is a fresh, girly fragrance that has a good mix of fruity and floral notes. It has top notes of Apricot, Apple and Water Lily and heart notes of Pink Guava, Wild Tuberose, Dark Chocolate and Tiare Flower. It also contains base notes of Chiffon Vanilla, Pink Frosting, Amber and Wood.

I'd say that although it's a very noticeable scent, Princess is quite soft and delicate. Because of this, I think it's perfect for daytime use and is the ideal fragrance for the spring and summer months. I adore this perfume and think it's worth a try!

Vera Wang Princess is available to buy from Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams. Prices range from around £34 - £45 depending on the size bottle you go for.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream | Review

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream | Review
The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream - £10.00

During one of The Body Shop's half price sales (which, thankfully, occur pretty frequently!), I purchased their Vitamin E Eye Cream. I bought it because I've been really into skincare lately and I wanted to delve into the world of eye creams a little more. For the last few months I've been using this pretty much every night - so here are my thoughts!

This product is a staple in my nightly skincare routine. The cream itself is thick and super hydrating. It intensely moisturises the eye area whilst leaving the skin feeling lovely and smooth. The small 15ml tube claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. I can't vouch for the fine line reduction but I can say that it does help reduce puffiness and dark circles. When I use this at night, the next morning puffiness is greatly reduced and it leaves your eyes looking more awake. It also keeps dark circles minimal - which is amazing! It won't get rid of dark circles completely but it does vastly improve them.

All in all, I'm very happy that I've tried this product. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for an affordable eye cream. This really is a great value product that is worth a try!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream is available to buy from The Body Shop's website (where there's currently a 50% sale!) and in store for £10.

March Favourites | Beauty

So, it's that time of the month where I share my current favourite products of the moment! Today, I'll be talking about four products that have stood out for me this month. All of these are amazing in my opinion and even better, they all come with a very affordable price tag.

My first beauty favourite is The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream. I've been using this for a while now and consider it a staple product in my skincare routine at the moment. When I use this, it leaves the eye area feeling smooth, refreshed and hydrated. It also really does help reduce puffiness and the appearance of dark circles.

Next up, I've been loving the Sleek Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette. I've always found Sleek eyeshadow palettes very impressive - the shadows are always such high quality and are super, super pigmented. Oh So Special contains a lovely range of browns and pinks - it's very versatile so you can easily create looks for both the day-time and the evening.

Avon is not a brand I had tried in the past. But I decided to give one of their eyebrow products a go and bought an Eyebrow Glimmerstick in the shade "blonde." As soon as I used this, I loved how easy the application was because of its slightly waxy texture. I also really like how natural looking the "blonde" shade is.

Last but not least, another favourite for March is the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade "Latino." I recently repurchased this as I missed having it in my collection! It's a lovely mid rose pink shade that applies very nicely due to the super smooth texture. It's also incredibly moisturising and glossy - perfect!

New In | Makeup, Skincare & Perfume

It's been a while since I posted a haul so I thought I'd share the products that I've picked up recently. This one's just a mini haul (luckily I didn't go too crazy recently!) and all items are available to buy from highstreet shops. So, on to the makeup, perfume and skincare goodies I've bought recently...

Perfume

Vera Wang Princess

My first purchase was the Vera Wang Princess perfume, which I'd been wanting for ages! I adore the scent; it's a very soft, sweet and girlie fragrance that is perfect for everyday wear. I already know that it's going to become my go-to perfume!

Makeup & Nail Polish

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Nude
Barry M Gelly Nail Polish in Lychee
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight and Latino

As I wanted to try a nude eyeliner, I decided to pick up the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner. Wearing nude eyeliner on your waterline is meant to make your eyes appear brighter and more awake. This one sounds perfect as it's waterproof, smudge-proof and it's meant to be very long lasting. Next, I purchased another Barry M Gelly Nail Polish, this one's in "Lychee." I chose Lychee as it's a lovely pale beige-nude shade that is unlike any other nail polish in my collection. I've tried other shades from the range previously and I've always loved the formula of the polishes, so I'm sure it will be no different with this one! Lastly for makeup, I bought two Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks. I love this lipstick range as there's so many beautiful shades and I find the lipsticks to be very hydrating and easy to apply. I got the shades nude delight (yes, another nude!) and Latino, a gorgeous mid rose pink.

Skincare

Nivea Visage Oil Free Day Cream
Burt's Bees Honey Lip balm

As I was in need of a new lip balm, I decided to purchase the Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm. I've never tried Burt's Bees before despite having heard amazing things about the brand. The fact that the balm is 100% natural is great, it means that it contains no nasties. I adore the honey smell and so far, I'm loving how moisturising and hydrating this leaves my lips.

Because the day cream I usually use ran out, I purchased the Nivea Visage Oil Free Day Cream as I wanted to try something new. What attracted me to it was the fact that it's oil free, very affordable and made especially for those with combination and oily skin.

So those are my latest beauty buys! Expect reviews of these products once I've fully tested them out :)
